Evaluation of life expectancy, comorbidity and health status
Preferred Name Evaluation of life expectancy, comorbidity and health status
Definition In localised disease, > 10 years life expectancy is considered mandatory for any benefit from local treatment. Life expectancy varies within each age group. This can be explained by comorbidity, which is more important than age in predicting death in localised PCa. Besides comorbidities, dependence in daily activities, malnutrition and cognitive impairment are associated with worse survival.
