Definition Bilateral orchiectomy, either total or subcapsular pulpectomy, is a simple, cheap and virtually complication-free surgical procedure. It is easily performed under local anaesthesia and is the quickest way to achieve a castration level, usually within less than 12 hours. It is irreversible and does not allow for intermittent treatment.
